The origins of threading are thought to be from the Asian subcontinent and Turkish regions, and has been used for more than 1000 years.
Cotton thread is used to remove hair from the body and there is thought to be less discomfort then other forms of hair removal with threading. The cotton thread is twisted and pulled along the skin surface of unwanted hair, lifting hair directly from the root. The hair is caught in the travelling thread and pulled out. Removal of the hair from the root results in a longer period of hair free skin.
Threading works on all skin types-normal, sensitive, tanned or damaged skin. It is an inexpensive, safe, simple, fast and effective method of hair removal.
